Durabase CI++ matting is a 3mm thick underlay mat for the decoupling of tiled flooring laid on critical surfaces and to prevent the formation of cracks by absorbing any movement that might occur.The interwoven special polyethylene underlay fabric gives improved fabric stability for better bonding to the subsurface.The optimised dimpled structure means less adhesive is required and the co-extruded woven mesh gives optimal tensile bond strength. Durabase CI++'s high elasticity ensures good crack-bridging properties making it particularly suitable for use in renovation projects,as it allows new tiles to be laid on old and damaged tiled floors(provided that these are still load bearing).It can also be used on difficult subsurfaces such as wood and relatively fresh concrete floors and floor screeds.On balconies and patios,Durabase CI matting provides an additional bonded seal in conjunction with the tiles and prevents water from percolating through.In areas heavily exposed to moisture such as changing rooms and swimming pool halls,Durabase CI tile underlayment is used as a bonded sealing membrane for tiling.
