Genesis Strato membrane is an underlayment matting for uncoupling and waterproofing of ceramic tile and stone coverings. It eliminates the cause of cracked tiles by neutralising tension between the substrate and tiled surfaces as well as creating a bridge over existing fractures in the surface of the substrate. Made of polyethylene, Genesis Strato membrane serves as a waterproofing layer that protects moisture-sensitive substrates, such as plywood.The channels between the polypropylene fabric and HDPE membrane disperse vapour tension from humid substrates and act as an outlet for excess humidity and vapour.The Strato membrane structure also aids the distribution loads on the tiled surfaces.This tile underlayment is suitable for both indoor and outdoor areas and ideal for new build and renovation projects.The Strato uncoupling matting can be applied directly onto screed not requiring a 28 day curing period allowing for quick installations.With underfloor heating,Strato membrane evenly distributes heat below the tiled floor.(For jointing the Strato membrane and sealing wall/corner junctions ,please see 'Related Products' at bottom of page.
