This is a V2A stainless steel tactile paving directional indicator bar to warn blind and partially sighted people of a potential hazard ahead. The tactile bars are installed at right angles to the direction of travel and make up the corduroy surface which warns visually impaired people of the presence of specific hazards e.g steps or level crossings. At 35mm wide and with a radius profile raised 5mm higher than the surface of the paving, the stainless steel tactile bars denote a hazard such as the top/bottom of a flight of steps and may be installed on hard surfaces such as concrete, bitumen, ceramics, stones, woods, plastics, steel. The underside of the corduroy bar is manufactured with 3 fixing stems. These are securely held in place along its length with epoxy resin, providing a very secure and concealed fixing.
